Our company was founded by prolific big wave surfer Laird Hamilton. Laird started adding different plant-based fats to his morning coffee to increase his performance on the waves. Not only did his coffee taste amazing, it kept him full and energized for hours.

What is a Superfood?: We believe in using ingredients that may provide a positive contribution to health beyond just the basic nutritive value. It is widely known that groups of foods, in addition to their nutritional properties, may offer additional properties for overall health. A good example of this is the Omega 3 to Omega 6 ratios found in fatty fish which has further reaching positive health implications than just adding fat to our dietary intake.
How long will my product remain fresh after opening?: We recommend sealing the bag and placing in a cool, dry area (like a cabinet or pantry) out of direct sunlight after each use. Under these conditions, our products should remain perfectly fresh until the best-by date found on the bag of the package! We do not recommend storing our powdered products in the fridge or freezer, or consuming any of our products after the recommended best-by date.

What are functional mushrooms?: We define "Functional Foods" as foods that may provide a positive contribution to health, beyond just the basic nutritive value.
