Creamy Cinnamon Red Lentil Dahl

Ingredients
- 4 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 2 tablespoon Cumin Seed
- 2 cup Onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoon Garlic, chopped
- 2 tablespoon Ginger, chopped
- 2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 2 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 2 cup Red Lentils
- 2 can Roasted Tomatoes (fire)
- 8 oz Water
- 25.4 oz Cinnamon Liquid Creamer
- 2 each Lime (Juice)
- 1/4 cup Cilantro, chopped
- 1.5 teaspoon Salt
- 1.5 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
Directions
- Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add cumin seeds and toast for a few seconds before adding the sliced onions.
- Cook down onions , stirring continuously, for a few minutes until fragrant.
- Add turmeric, chili powder, lentils, tomatoes, liquid creamer, and salt.
- Rinse each can of tomatoes with 4 oz of water and add.
- Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat to low, stir occasionaly for the next 25-30m minutes
- until lentils are cooked through.
